Southeast Asia

Philippines

The Philippines is my most extensively explored diving destination — I’ve dived all over the country and created guides to more than 16 destinations.

From the reefs of Bohol and Siquijor to Malapascua’s sharks and the incredible marine life around Dumaguete, there’s an enormous amount to explore.

Indonesia

Indonesia has some of the most spectacular and varied diving I’ve experienced anywhere — from the insane biodiversity of Raja Ampat to Komodo’s manta rays and the dramatic reefs around Nusa Penida.

Thailand

I learned to scuba dive on Koh Tao back in 2014, then returned a decade later to live in Phuket for six months. I’ve also explored the spectacular Similan and Surin islands by liveaboard.

Central America

I spent a year living in Costa Rica, diving its shark-filled Pacific coast before taking my adventures across the borders into Nicaragua and Panama. Along the way I also dived the Caribbean, with colourful coral reefs, dolphins and a completely different style of diving.

Northern Europe

I spent a year living on Ireland’s wild west coast, where I discovered a completely different side of diving around the Aran Islands and Killary Fjord. Back in the UK, I’ve also explored the rocky reefs of Porthkerris in Cornwall.

The Maldives

I’ve explored the Maldives by liveaboard, diving across its spectacular atolls among huge numbers of sharks, manta rays, whale sharks and an incredible abundance of marine life. It remains one of the most unforgettable places I’ve ever dived.

The Red Sea

I’ve explored Egypt’s Red Sea both by liveaboard and from shore around Dahab, diving everything from colourful coral reefs and legendary wrecks to remote offshore sites with Oceanic Whitetip Sharks and other pelagic life.

I started this blog back in 2018, commencing a five-year odyssey diving, travelling and working across Southeast Asia, South and Central America, Ireland and beyond.
