Award Winning: Blue Horizon

Of all the Red Sea liveaboards, Blue Horizon is perhaps one of the most famous, having been awarded “liveaboard of the year” in 2015 and 2016 by Diver Magazine.

Also, whilst all South Red Sea trips feature sharks, Blue Horizon takes things to the next level with a special “Project Shark” trip, where in addition to visiting sharky dive sites, there are also shark educational sessions between dives!

There are a range of South Region itineraries to choose from; all are pretty similar in terms of the major dive destinations they visit.

Blue Horizon also sometimes makes trips to the North Red Sea which is famous for awesome shipwrecks and beginner friendly dive sites.

Towards the back of the boat is the large and spacious dive deck outfitted with Nitrox/air fill stations, a battery charging station and fresh water rinse tanks.

There is plenty of space from which to kit up and prepare gear here and it’s a great place for making giant stride entries into those tropical Red Sea waters.

On the top deck is a huge sundeck with Jaccuzi from which one can enjoy stunning panoramic views whilst on the main deck is the partially shaded outdoor sky-lounge and bar area with entertainment system.

Leading in from here is the indoor salon and dining area with large entertainment system; perfect for watching movies at the end of the day.

In total, Blue Horizon caters to 24 guests in 13 cabins; guests can choose between 9 twin or double standard cabins on the lower deck or 4 premium double cabins on the main deck which are extra spacious and have ocean view windows.

Every cabin is equipped with an ensuite bathroom, AC, mini-bar, TV and DVD player.

The staff are very friendly and helpful; going above and beyond to attend to each guests every need. You can look forward to daily housekeeping, incredible food and fun dive guides who know everything there is to know about the amazing marine life that you’ll see.

No wonder Blue Horizon has won several liveaboard awards already – we would not be at all surprised if there are more prizes on the horizon!

Alex

Scuba fanatic, travel ecstatic and loveable rogue. A rootless divemaster and perpetual adrenaline-junky, Alex holds the esteemed rank of Grand Admiral of the Diving Squad; a title he most nobly awarded to himself. A scuba-junky since 2014, he's dived much of the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Red Sea, Ireland, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. It's hard to say where he'll pop up next for he never settles; forever a leaf on the wind... or perhaps a lone bubble blasted along on the current.
