Freedom III Review

Diving Squad Rating:

7.5 / 10

Freedom III is the cheapest Red Sea liveaboard out there! Despite this, she still offers excellent diving trips around Egypt’s north red sea and great onboard amenities, including a TV in every cabin!

Great for: Cheapest Red Sea liveaboard of all time, Cabin Amenities, Social Areas, Families, Groups of Friends

Trip Lengths: 4 – 8 days

Max Guest Capacity: 20

Operates: Feb – Nov

Freedom III covers the very best dive sites of the Northern red sea including Ras Mohammed, Tiran, Thistlegorm, Dunraven and the shipwrecks of Abu Nuhas.

The large dive platform, located at the rear of the boat has two toilets and showers as well as individual set up and gear storage spaces. Nitrox is also available.

All cabins feature: AC, TV, DVD player, ensuite bathroom and a safe.

There’s three master cabins with incredible ocean views. Two cabins, whilst usually sold as doubles, have the option to sleep 4 for families or groups of friends.

There are 2 spacious sundecks as well as an indoor saloon and dining area, with large plasma TV, DVD player, music system and library.

Furthermore there is a bar, BBQ area, camera station and free internet.  Prices include all meals as well as airport transfers to and from Sharm el Sheikh airport.

Honestly, it’s amazing this is the cheapest red sea liveaboard, considering how it is far nicer than many others!

"Thistlegorm could be seen 100 times and you still wouldn’t get sick of it. It really is something special. Compliments to the chef who made such a variety of food for every meal. There was something for everyone. The briefings for the dives were detailed and even gave back stories to the wrecks and the reefs. The dive masters knew where to find different wildlife and took care of the group while giving those space that wanted it. The rooms were nice and the environment was social. The whole experience on this boat was a highlight".

"The trip was simply amazing. The crew and captain Abdo are very friendly and helpful. The guides "Mustafa and Hani" knows the diving site very well. The food was fairly good always on time and variety is good enough. Rasmohammed Sharqs reef location is a must; we did 3 dives there and you simply can't get enough".

“This was my first Liveaboard trip, so it was amazing, yet a little tiring, to do 4 dives in one day (including a night dive). Seeing new species, such as the arabian angelfish, blue grouper, and napoleon fish was also nice.

As well, the gorgonias were larger than anything I had seen elsewhere. Also, the scenery above the water along the Red Sea was very interesting. I plan to come back for my diving in the future”.
